Since 2010, I have been working as a freelance journalist in Vienna, Amsterdam and Berlin. I’ve published articles in various magazines and weekly newspapers (like Zeit Online, Falter, The Red Bulletin, derStandard.at, profil.at, Salzburger Nachrichten). Here, here and here you can take a look at some of them.

I studied Journalism & New Media (M.A.) and International Development (B.A.) in Vienna. In the upcoming months, I (hopefully) will finish my master-studies in contemporary history.

In 2011/12 I studied “International Journalism” at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Back then, I started this blog – this is why some posts are written in English.

I am a member of Konsorten Kollektiv, a non profit network of seven other freelance journalists / photographers / graphic designers. Here you’ll find our website.

Currently, I am working for Amnesty International Austria in the media & communications department.

There are a lot of awesome young people out there, trying to establish their profile as (freelance) journalists. I had the pleasure to work with some of them – go check them out and support them by reading or listening to their stories:

Georg Eckelsberger (investigative journalism – take a look at Dossier)

Ruth Eisenreich (media, politics and local issues, currently working at Süddeutsche Zeitung)

Raffael Fritz (science, technology & weird stuff)

Magdalena Jöchler (focus on the strange region called South Tirol)

Manuel Köllner (New York, multimedia)

Benedikt Narodoslawsky (domestic politics @ Falter)

Mara Simperler (development, people, politics & outdoor stuff – currently working for “Bergwelten“)

Martin Steinmüller (studied theology, but can write beautiful magazine stories about everything – see Fleisch Magazin & WALD)

Teresa Reiter (conflicts, politics and issues around the world)

Manuela Tomic (foreign politics, economy)

and the great photographers Marko Mestrovic and Christoph Liebentritt, both members of Konsorten Kollektiv.
